2.4.2. from a Google Account

KeyReel is able to import passwords from Google accounts. To do this, run import within the KeyReel Mac App (click the Import… menu item, select “Google Passwords” from the source list, then press Continue).

Note

Make sure your Mac and iPhone are paired, and that Chrome already has the KeyReel browser extension installed. Otherwise items will be grayed out, or the import will be unsuccessful.

The Chrome Browser will open a tab in which you need to enter the password for the Google Account with the passwords you want to import to KeyReel:

KeyReel will scan all credentials and transfer them to the phone for saving. After completing the import, this tab should automatically close. Otherwise, close it yourself and report it to the KeyReel Team via the “Feedback …” menu item.

Note

Currently, you can only export the first 50 credentials due to some technical limits. Support for adding more credentials will be added later.

Note

The tab will not automatically close if there are no passwords to export, so check whether that’s the case and close the tab manually.

After collecting credentials from your Google Account’s Password page, they are transferred to the phone for you to accept or deny.
